Deep Cleaning vs Regular Cleaning: What's Included and What It Costs

A regular (standard) clean keeps a house that is already in decent shape that way, and starts at $150 with Suite 5, or from $105 a visit on a weekly schedule. A deep clean resets the house, adding baseboards, inside the oven and fridge, behind appliances, vents, fixtures and grout, and starts at $250.

The short version

A regular clean maintains. A deep clean resets. We call the regular one a standard clean, and it covers the rooms you use every day: bathrooms, the kitchen, dusting, floors, beds and trash. A deep clean does all of that and then goes after the places a recurring visit does not have time for, like baseboards, the inside of the oven, the back of the fridge and the grout lines in the shower.

In Rockford, Suite 5 prices a standard clean from $150 and a deep clean from $250. Both are flat rates for the house, not hourly, and your quote gives you the exact number before anything is booked.

What a regular clean includes

A standard clean is built to be repeated. It keeps the surfaces you touch and the rooms you live in clean, week after week, without trying to do everything every time. This is what the crew does on a standard visit:

  • Every bathroom: toilets, showers, tubs, glass, mirrors and fixtures
  • Kitchen: counters, backsplash, sink, appliance exteriors, inside the microwave
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout, including stairs and landings
  • Dusting from high to low, including sills, ledges and baseboards within reach
  • Beds made, or fully changed if you leave linen out
  • Trash and recycling out, bins to the curb on pickup day

The crew works the same order every time, the Suite 5 Method: Kitchen Reset, Bathroom Renewal, Bedroom Refresh, Living Spaces and Finishing Touches. The kitchen comes first because that is where most homes need the most attention.

What a deep clean adds

A deep clean includes everything in a standard clean, plus the work that builds up slowly and gets skipped. In a Rockford house, that build-up usually comes from a winter of salt, mud and forced air. This is what gets added:

  • Baseboards, door frames and trim, hand-wiped rather than dusted
  • Inside the oven and inside the refrigerator
  • Behind and underneath moveable appliances
  • Vent covers, light fixtures and ceiling fans
  • Blinds and window sills, plus interior glass within reach
  • Full bathroom detail including grout lines and shower tracks
  • Cabinet fronts, and interiors if they are empty

What a deep cleaning costs in Rockford

A Suite 5 deep clean starts at $250 and usually takes four to eight hours. Three things move the price: the size of the house, how many bathrooms it has, and its condition. Condition mostly comes down to how long it has been since the last professional clean. A house that was deep cleaned last spring is a different job from one that has never had one.

We would rather quote a deep clean after seeing photos than guess and be wrong on the day. Send a few pictures of the kitchen and bathrooms with your quote request and the number you get back is the number you pay. It is a flat rate for the house, so it does not change if a bathroom takes longer than expected.

What a regular cleaning costs

A one-time standard clean starts at $150. On a schedule it costs less per visit: 30% off weekly (from $105), 25% off every two weeks (from $112) and 15% off monthly (from $128). The rate is locked while you stay on the schedule. There is no contract, and you can skip a week or move a visit with no penalty.

The same things move a standard price as a deep one: size, bathrooms and condition. A finished basement counts as living space, so mention it when you ask for a quote.

Which one to book

Most first-time clients start with a deep clean, then move to a standard clean on a recurring schedule. The deep clean brings the house up to a baseline. Every visit after that maintains it, which is what a standard clean is built to do.

Book a deep clean if any of these are true:

  • The house has not been professionally cleaned in a while, or ever
  • You are getting ready for listing photos (book it before the photographer, since dust shows in photos)
  • Family or guests are coming and you want the corners done along with the surfaces
  • It is spring and the house has been through a winter of salt and forced air
  • You have pets, allergies or a busy household and it has been a few months since the last deep clean
  • You are starting recurring service and want the first visit to set the bar

Book a standard clean if the house is already in decent shape and you want it kept that way. If you are not sure, tell us when the house was last cleaned professionally and we will tell you honestly which one it needs.

The usual pattern: one deep clean to reset the house, then a standard clean every week, two weeks or month at the recurring rate, with another deep clean once or twice a year.

Why a deep clean takes twice as long

Hand-wiping every baseboard, cleaning inside an oven, pulling out appliances and working grout lines all take real time. A deep clean cannot be done in two hours, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a quote anywhere promises a full deep clean in the time it takes to do a standard one, something on the list is getting skipped.

The first standard visit also runs longer than the ones after it, because the crew is learning the house. After that, the same crew comes back each time, so they already know where things go and what you care about.

What comes with both

Every Suite 5 clean, standard or deep, comes with a background-checked crew and our own eco-safe products, which are pet-safe and kid-safe. If you would rather we use your products, leave them out and we will. You do not need to be home.

Both are covered by the 200% guarantee. If we miss something, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and re-clean it at no charge. If you are still not happy after the re-clean, we refund the cleaning in full. If you need to cancel or reschedule, there is no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Inside 24 hours we charge 50% to cover the crew time held for you.

How to get your exact price

The quote form takes about 60 seconds. Tell us the size of the house, the number of bathrooms, any pets, and roughly when it was last cleaned professionally. A real person from the Suite 5 team replies inside 24 hours with a quote, an available window and answers to anything you asked. You can also call (815) 391-0795. We are open seven days, 6 AM to 8 PM.

Common questions

How much does a deep clean cost in Rockford?
With Suite 5, a deep clean starts at $250. The final price depends on the size of the house, the number of bathrooms and its condition. It is a flat rate, and your quote shows the exact number before you book.
What is included in a deep clean?
Everything in a standard clean, plus baseboards and trim hand-wiped, inside the oven and fridge, behind and under moveable appliances, vent covers, light fixtures, ceiling fans, blinds, sills and grout lines. Cabinet interiors are included if they are empty.
How long does a deep clean take?
Four to eight hours for most homes, depending on size and condition. A standard clean takes two to four hours. We confirm the window when we send your quote so you can plan around it.
Should my first clean be a deep clean?
Usually, yes. If the house has not been professionally cleaned in a while, a deep clean brings it up to a baseline first. After that, a standard clean on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule keeps it there.
Do I need a deep clean every time?
No. Once or twice a year is enough for most homes, or quarterly if you have pets, allergies or a lot of traffic through the house. The visits in between are standard cleans at the recurring rate.
